Cerámica para todos - Pitirre Proyectos

At the Center for the Study of Figurative Ceramics (CSFC), we are dedicated to nurturing the art of ceramics, with a special focus on sculpture. Our goal is simple: to provide artists with the space, education, and community they need to refine their craft and push creative boundaries. One of our most impactful initiatives, Cerámica para Todos, directed by Cristina Córdova, reflects this commitment to accessible and inclusive arts education.

Cerámica para Todos bridges the gap between world-renowned ceramic artists and the local Puerto Rican community. Through this program, local artists receive scholarships to attend workshops led by masters in the field—an opportunity to learn from experts, expand their skills, and bring fresh perspectives into their own practice. More than just education, these workshops create meaningful exchanges, where Puerto Rican artists connect with mentors , share ideas and techniques, and build community.

Over the years, the project has welcomed celebrated ceramicists such as Canadian artist Julie Moon, and American artists Del Harrow, Kelsie Rudolph, and Cody Hoyt. What began as a collaboration between Studio 154 (led by Ivonne Prats) and Souvenir 154 (headed by Raquel Pérez Puig) has since become part of Pitirre Proyectos’ programming, ensuring its long-term impact. Pitirre Proyectos, a nonprofit led by Dr. Gretchen Ruiz, is dedicated to expanding artistic opportunities in Puerto Rico. Through its support, Cerámica para Todos reaches a wider audience, making high-quality ceramic education more accessible than ever.
